Parliament Session LIVE Update 2024:-On Friday, proceedings in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha remained chaotic due to protests and disruptions. Opposition members in the Rajya Sabha protested over the rejection of the notice given for discussion on the MUDA scam under Rule 267, but the BJP MP was allowed to raise the same issue during Zero Hour.

Several disruptions were seen in both houses of Parliament on Thursday, while the Union Budget 2024-25 was being debated on July 25. The opposition in the Lok Sabha claimed that the budget was ’tilted towards Andhra Pradesh and Bihar’, while MPs in the Rajya Sabha claimed that the budget was anti-poor, anti-tribal and anti-women. between Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi and Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu. The clash started when Mr Channi mentioned the killing of the BJP leader’s grandfather and former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. Mr Bittu made personal remarks against Congress MP and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, leading to a heated exchange.
Members from both sides tried to enter the well, due to which the proceedings had to be adjourned for 30 minutes. The protests continued even when the House proceedings resumed. Mr Channi resumed his speech after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh urged the speaker to remove unparliamentary references. Friday is the day to present the bill to the MPs. Private members’ bills are expected to be introduced by Ravi Kishan, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Shashi Tharoor, D Ravikumar and Chandrashekhar Azad.

1.Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar questioned the ruling party regarding the uproar. The Chairman asked, “Why were other members reacting when no member saw the tweet highlighted by Piyush Goyal?” In response, AAP’s Sanjay Singh says, “My colleagues were taking part in the discussion on the issue of OBC reservation on caste census. What’s the problem? You are threatening us! Don’t threaten us in the name of jail.”

3. Congress MP Neeraj Dangi demanded caste census, which was strongly opposed by the ruling party. Amid the uproar, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar urged both sides to maintain the decorum of the House and listen to each other, stressing the importance of healthy discussion. The protests intensified after minister Piyush Goyal alleged that the opposition had insulted MP Fagnon Konyak, who held the post of Speaker when the proceedings were adjourned. He cited a tweet by AAP MP Sanjay Singh.
4.BJP MP Soumitra Khan says that this budget is for farmers, youth and people of Scheduled Caste/Tribe community. He mentioned funds allocated for students, Mudra loans and tribal women who do not have houses, further development schemes for women and urban housing for the poor. He said that the states are performing well because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
