According to the new increased rates, now for using electricity from 0 to 400 units, the bill will have to be paid at the rate of Rs 4 80 Paise instead of Rs 4 60 Paise.

The government has also changed the prices for those using 601 to 800 units. Now for using 601 to 800 units of electricity, instead of Rs 9 20 Paise, you will have to pay Rs 9 65 Paise. Along with this, for usage from 801 units to 1000 units, instead of Rs 10 20 Paise, you will have to pay Rs 10 70 Paise. At the same time, for more than 1000 units, you will have to pay Rs 11 80 Paise. The new tariff has been implemented from July 1.

For example, consumers consuming 201-400 units will now have to pay Rs 6.11 per unit compared to Rs 4.50 in the 2021-22 tariff order, and those consuming more than 1200 units will have to pay Rs 10.87 compared to Rs 8. For this it has increased to Rs 11.00 per unit.

TPDDL is no exception, with PPAC seeing a growth of 37.88%. In this, the cost of 0-200 units is now Rs 4.14 per unit, which has increased significantly in the high bracket. For 201-400 units this rate is Rs 6.20 per unit and for consumption more than 1200 units this rate is Rs 11.03 per unit.
