livendtv Live Update 2024:- The Railway Ministry said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat Express trains on Saturday, August 31, to increase connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kar:-nataka.
The three trains will join the network of over 100 Vande Bharat Express trains connecting over 280 districts that are operational. Prime Minister Modi will flag off three Vande Bharat Express trains through video conferencing – one from Chennai Central to Nagercoil, the second from Madurai to Bengaluru Cantonment and the third from Meerut City-Lucknow. The Nagercoil bound train will initially be flagged off from Chennai Central, but will operate regularly from Chennai Egmore. It will run every day except Wednesday.
This Vande Bharat train service will facilitate the pilgrims to visit the divine Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai and Kumari Amman Temple, Kanniyakumari.
* Train No. 20627 will depart from Chennai Egmore at 5 am and reach Nagercoil at 1:50 pm, stopping at Tambaram, Villupuram, Tiruchirapalli, Dindugal, Madurai, Kovilpatti and Tirunelveli. The return train (No. 20628) will depart from Nagercoil at 2:20 pm and reach Chennai at 11 pm.
Vande Bharat train between Madurai and Bengaluru Cantonment will run six days a week except Tuesday.
* This Vande Bharat service will connect the busy temple city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu with the metropolitan city of Bengaluru, which is also the capital of the state of Karnataka.
Train No. 20671 will depart from Madurai at 5:15 am and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 1 pm, stopping at Dindugal, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Namakkal, Salem and Krishnarajapurm. In return (train number 20672), it will depart from Bengaluru at 1:30 pm. Will reach Madurai at 9:45 pm
Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat train will start its regular service from Lucknow on Sunday and from Meerut on Monday. It will operate six days a week except Tuesday.
* This Vande Bharat train is expected to boost religious tourism in the region by providing faster travel to pilgrimage sites like Digambar Jain Temple, Mansa Devi Temple, Surajkund Temple and Aughadnath Temple.
* Train 22490 will depart from Meerut City at 6:35 am and reach Charbagh Railway Station, Lucknow at 1:45 pm, stopping at Moradabad and Bareilly. On the return journey (Train No. 22489), the train will depart from Charbagh Railway Station at 2:45 pm and reach Meerut City at 10:00 pm.
