Pune:
An attack by a group of guys on bikes occurred last night in the Nana Peth region of Pune, killing a former corporator of the city and a leader of the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP.
Vanraj Andekar passed away following his emergency room visit due to severe injuries. It seems that the attack resulted from a personal grudge. Prior to the Pune civic body being placed under the administration of the state government, Mr. Andekar served as a corporator.
A CCTV camera recorded footage of at least 12 males arriving at Mr. Andekar’s property on six two-wheelers. They can be seen pointing guns. At that moment, the former corporator was by himself.
Vanraj Andekar was fired five rounds at. They also used long-bladed sickles to attack him. He was sent to KEM Hospital dead. According to the official record, Andekar sustained many injuries from sharp objects. In due course, more information would be provided, according to Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma.
The well-known homicide is being looked into by the Pune crime branch. It has been learned that the assailants were able to interfere with the local power supply and switch off the street lights.
The CCTV film shows something looks to be hurled at the attackers at one point, but it misses. The CCTV footage reveals an adult with two children on a scooter narrowly making it out of the crime scene unscathed.

Pune: A man shot dead near Katraj by attackers on bikes, one person taken into custody.
Six empty rounds were discovered at the crime scene after senior officers and police teams were dispatched to the scene of the incident. After notifying the deceased’s family, an investigation was started using the video evidence from the many security cameras that were placed nearby. There was a crowd present when the shooting started, and the rapid fire of six rounds caused panic in the vicinity. Before shooting Manoor, the suspects might have followed him for some time, according to an investigating officer.
Amitabh Gupta, commissioner of Pune City police, stated: “The primary probe suggests that murder was a fallout of a money dispute.” In the few hours following the incident, one suspect was taken into custody.”
“Preliminary probe suggests that the incident was a fallout of money that the deceased owed to the prime suspect of the murder, Mehboob Saifan Bulargi,” Senior Inspector Kalaskar continued. Later thereafter, we took Bulargi into custody. We have started looking for the remaining three suspects who may be involved in the scheme. We now know that Bulargi had previously lent the dead person more than Rs 17 lakh, and there had been a disagreement between the two over Manoor repaying his debt.
“Manoor was in the construction and construction supplies business,” Kalaskar continued. We have learned that he was just named an office bearer for the Baramati Loksabha constituency in the Congress party’s minority welfare cell. Investigation thus far has revealed that the murder was the result of personal and financial conflicts rather than having any political overtones.
