On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to receive a fourth summons from the Enforcement Directorate inviting him to participate in the investigation into the purported excise policy case.
For the third time on Wednesday, Kejriwal had declined to appear before the ED. He claimed that the agency’s “non-disclosure and non-response approach” could not withstand the test of law, equity, or justice, and that the ED’s “obstinacy” amounted to taking on the roles of jury, judge, and executioner.
Kejriwal’s five-page response, which was sent to the anti-money laundering agency yesterday, is currently being examined.
According to the PTI report, the agency might send Kejriwal its fourth summons in accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
