Paris Olympiad Breaking Update 2024:- Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat cried as she reached Delhi’s IGI airport from Paris after participating in the Paris Olympics 2024. When Vinesh Phogat reached Delhi Airport on Saturday 17th August, she had tears in her eyes. He was given a historic welcome after his stellar performance at the Paris Olympics 2024. Several notable people including Congress MP Deepender Hooda, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and others were present at the airport to welcome the wrestler. Earlier in the morning, Phogat’s family, friends, relatives and fans were eagerly waiting outside Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport to welcome her. Videos have surfaced in which they can be seen dancing and celebrating the return of the 29-year-old veteran wrestler.
Vinesh Phogat made it to the final of the Paris Olympic Games after a triumphant win in the semi-final match of women’s 50 kg freestyle wrestling, but was disqualified as her weight was 100 grams more than the norm.
On August 7, he went to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) and demanded to be awarded the silver medal, but CAS rejected his application. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) said it was “considering further legal options” after rejecting the petition.
On August 16, Vinesh Phogat wrote an emotional note to her ex telling them about their journey and thanking everyone who has helped them so far. Her letter begins this way, “Olympic Rings: As a little girl from a small village, I had no idea what the Olympics were or what these rings meant As a little girl, I dreamed of having long hair, showing off the mobile phone in my hand and doing all the things any little girl usually dreams of.”
The letter further reads, “But survival has taught me a lot Seeing my mother’s difficulties, never-say-die attitude and fighting spirit made me what I am today. He taught me to fight for my rights. She also thanked the people who have supported her so far, including Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, Dr Wayne Patrick Lombard, coach Voller Akos, physio Ashwini Jeevan Patil, Tajinder Kaur, Olympic Gold Quest team and Gagan Narang.
