On Wednesday, protesters from the Jat community demonstrated against TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee’s impersonation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Following claims that Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee imitated Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Parliament grounds, the Jat community staged protests in support of him on Wednesday. The community, to which VP Dhankhar is also a member, demanded that the TMC MP offer an apology to the chairman of the Rajya Sabha or face “revenge”.
On Tuesday, Banerjee seemed to imitate Dhankhar’s gait by bending forward and mentioning having a backbone during her demonstration against the widespread suspension of Members of Parliament from opposition parties outside the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, who was also there, was seen filming Banerjee’s performance.
Members of the Jat community, angered by Banerjee, gathered on Wednesday and demanded an apology from him.
“We will call a bigger meeting today itself and protest against TMC,” Palam 360 Khap Pradhan, Chaudhary Surender Solanki told news agency ANI. “This meeting has been called so that either TMC MP (Kalyan Banerjee) apologises to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and also to millions of farmers across India.”
It is regrettable that the Congress, and particularly Rahul Gandhi, are discussed here because of their extremely immature and unprofessional attitude toward the entire situation. We simply ask that the insult of a farming family be refused,” he continued.

This is demeaning to our nation’s farmers. We are a clan that has not forgotten its foes in seven generations, and if any of them refuse to apologize to the vice president, we will definitely exact revenge, Singh declared.
Additionally, a police complaint was made against Banerjee at the national capital’s Defence Colony police station on Tuesday night.
