Today PM Modi Live Update:- Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today jointly inaugurated the Tata Aircraft Complex for manufacturing of C-295 aircraft with his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez in Vadodara, Gujarat.
There are a total of 56 aircraft under the C-295 programme, with 16 aircraft being purchased directly by Spain-based company Airbus, and the remaining 40 maintained at the facilities, the first private sector final assembly line. (FAL) Military Model for India.

Why is the C-295 aircraft a game-changer? The C-295 is a 5-10 tonne transport aircraft equipped with contemporary technology and is a legacy Avro-748 digital location equipment of the Indian Air Force. The C-295 is considered an improved aircraft that can be used for tactical transport of up to 71 troops or 50 paratroopers and for logistics operations in locations that are not currently suitable for mass access.

It can be conducted in routine day as well as night combat operations in desert to marine environments.
Indigenous electronic war suits will also be evaluated under one prototype in all, 56 manufactured by Indian DPSUs – Bharat Electronics Limited and Bharat Dynamics Limited
