Lawrence Bishnoi: Who Killed NCP Leader Baba Siddique? Sources Say Police Are Looking into Salman Khan’s “Connection.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has not only admitted to killing Baba Siddique, but it has also promised to kill anyone who aids Salman Khan, the actor, whose home it has already fired warning shots near.
Following the death of Mr. Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and three-time MLA, on Saturday night in Bandra East, close to his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office, rumors of a Bishnoi gang connection to the audacious murder started to circulate. This was verified on Sunday following a Facebook post attributed to Shubuu Lonkar, who is thought to be an associate of the Bishnoi gang Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, indicating responsibility.
Although Lonkar is incarcerated, authorities stated that his brother Pravin Lonkar, who was taken into custody on Sunday night, wrote the message.
In the article, Lonkar stated that Siddique was slain because he was close to Salman Khan, connected to Dawood Ibrahim, India’s most wanted terrorist, and because Anuj Thapan, one of the suspects who had been captured in the shooting outside Mr. Khan’s residence, had died while in police custody.
On May 1, Thapan was discovered dead inside the Mumbai Crime Branch detention facility. His relatives claimed he was mistreated while in jail, despite the police’s claim that he committed suicide.
Lonkar stated in Hindi in the Facebook post, “We don’t have anything against anyone, but whoever supports Salman Khan and the Dawood gang, keep your accounts in order (‘hisab-kitaab kar lena’).” According to police, they are confirming the post’s legitimacy.
According to Mr. Grewal, he had only met the actor twice.
A five-year cold war between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan was settled at Siddique’s ‘iftar’ celebration in 2013, as he was well-known for throwing extravagant parties.
According to police sources, since last year, the Bishnoi gang has attacked at least two celebrities because they are thought to be close to Salman Khan. On Saturday, Mr. Khan went to the hospital where Siddique was confined following his shooting, and on Sunday, he also went to his home.
The Bishnoi gang said that the reason gunshots were fired at Punjabi musician Gippy Grewal’s Vancouver, Canada, home in November 2023 was because Mr. Grewal had lauded Mr. Khan and treated him “like a brother.
According to Mr. Grewal, he had only met the actor twice. Shots were fired close to the Vancouver home of another Punjabi musician, AP Dhillon, in September of this year. Renowned Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Rohit Godara has claimed the shooting was the group’s creation. Following the release of the music video for his song “Old Money,” which featured Salman Khan, Mr. Dhillon was fired.
The Bishnoi gang has stated that it wants to kill Salman Khan for his alleged involvement in shooting blackbucks at Bawad in Mathania near Jodhpur in September 1998, during the filming of “Hum Saath Saath Hain.” The Bishnoi gang rose to notoriety after claiming to be responsible for the murder of musician Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022.
The Bishnoi people, who revere the blackbuck, was offended by the purported behavior. In 2018, Lawrence Bishnoi declared in court, “We will kill Salman Khan in Jodhpur.” When we act, everyone will know. They are accusing me of crimes without any evidence, even though I haven’t done anything.
