New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded sharply today, calling it a “very serious matter of investigation” in response to a Pakistani leader’s apparent support for Congressman Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He did, however, add, “I don’t think I should comment on such topics from the position I am in, but I can understand your concern,” in an exclusive interview with the news agency IANS.
Former Pakistani minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, who recently uploaded a video of Rahul Gandhi and praised him, had the chance to compliment Arvind Kejriwal over the weekend when Delhi went to vote, but he was faced with a backlash.
“I don’t know why only a few people are liked by those who have enmity with us, why there are only a few people in whose support voices are raised from there,” Prime Minister Modi said in response to an inquiry regarding the issue from IANS.
While acknowledging that it is concerning, he claimed that words made from across the border won’t have an impact on Indian elections because Indian voters are mature.
The election is taking place in India, a country with a very developed democracy, thriving customs, and voters who are not swayed by external factors,” the speaker stated.
A minister in Imran Khan’s cabinet, Mr. Chaudhry, had previously applauded Mr. Kejriwal’s receipt of temporary bail from the Supreme Court. “Modi G Lost another battle #Kejriwal released… good news for moderate India,” he wrote on the defunct Twitter platform
The image that he posted after that showed Mr. Kejriwal and his family in the voting booth. Mr. Chaudhry said, “May peace and harmony defeat forces of hate and extremism #MorePower #IndiaElection2024” in response to the Chief Minister’s posting of the image.
Mr Kejriwal had reacted sharply. “Chaudhry Sahib, I and the people of my country are capable of solving our own problems. We don’t need your tweet. Right now, Pakistan is in a terrible state. You handle your own country,” his post read.

He also sidestepped questions about Rahul Gandhi as a prime ministerial candidate, saying no such discussion had taken place and that the INDIA bloc would take a decision after the election results.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing an election rally at Delhi’s Shastri Park, took a jibe at the INDIA bloc parties, saying that those who had come to stop corruption, were now being jailed for “scams worth thousands of crores”.
According to Modi, the goal of this year’s Lok Sabha elections is to elevate India’s economy into the top three in the world while protecting the impoverished from those who are attempting to seize their possessions. “Bharat in the twenty-first century is at its best now. Bharat is currently taking a significant step forward in its development, according to Modi.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, questioned PM Modi’s “relationship with Adani” and the electoral bonds plan during his speech at the INDIA bloc event at Ramlila Maidan. Rahul said, “These people have given Modi ji crores of money through electoral bonds.” He declared that he was prepared to argue with Prime Minister Modi and that he was confident that the Prime
In other events, Bibhav Kumar, an assistant to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, had his anticipatory release plea dismissed by the Tis Hazari court on Saturday, citing it as “infructuous.” In the Swati Maliwal assault case, Kumar was taken into custody by the Delhi Police earlier today. On Friday, May 17, Maliwal filed a formal complaint against Kumar, claiming that the latter had slapped her seven or eight times, “kicked on the chest, stomach, and pelvis area,” and threatened to kill her.
Following the court’s decision, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal declared that the Bharatiya Janata Party was targeting his party and that he and the other leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, as well as MLAs and MPs, would be meeting at the party’s headquarters on Sunday at 12 p.m.
