At Raj Bhavan on Sunday, JDU chief Nitish Kumar took the oath of office as the ninth Chief Minister of the state Bihar stunning everyone with his “political cartwheel.”
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated, “We will stay together,” in reference to his party’s affiliation with the NDA. Today, eight leaders were sworn in as ministers, and the remaining leaders will shortly follow. Vijay Sinha and Samrat Choudhary have been named Deputy Chief Ministers.”
This time, he broke with Mahagathbandhan, which is made up of the RJD and Congress, and allied himself with the BJP-led NDA. Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers during the occasion. Eight leaders also took the oath of office as ministers on Sunday.

On Sunday, eight leaders were sworn in as ministers alongside Nitish Kumar. In the new Nitish Kumar-led government, six ministers took an oath of office, including JDU’s Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, JDU’s Bijendra Prasad Yadav, BJP’s Dr Prem Kumar, JDU’s Shravan Kumar, Independent MLA from Chakai Sumit Kumar Singh, and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) president Dr Santosh Kumar Suman.
BJP leader JP Nadda attended the oath-taking ceremony as well. During the event, the public was heard chanting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name and other chants.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar responded to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s claim that JDU would be completed in 2024 by saying, “We work for the development and progress of Bihar.” We won’t change from what we are now doing. Tejashwi did not take any action. There is no question of me going anywhere now that I am back where I was before (in the NDA).”
Following the oath-taking ceremony, Samrat Choudhary, the recently appointed Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, declared, “I am an employee of the (BJP) party and I will work in accordance with whatever role will be assigned to me.” Prior to being appointed Chief Whip of the opposition by my party, I served as a minister in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet and opposed his administration. The NDA’s constituent parties will now cooperate for Bihar.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi complimented Nitish Kumar for rejoining the NDA following his oath-taking ceremony. PM Modi stated that the NDA government will advance development in the state in his social media post.
The departure of Nitish Kumar from the INDIA alliance is perceived as a significant setback to the alliance prior to the Lok Sabha elections. Nonetheless, the partnership is robust, according to RJD leader and departing Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
Nitish Kumar tendered his resignation as a result of things being “not right” under the Mahagathbandhan alliance. He claimed to have had advice from everyone, even his party staff, and that in order to make this choice, he had considered them all.
