Paris Olympics 2024 Live Updates:- On the 7th day, Indian athletes made a big splash in badminton, shooting, judo, archery, hockey etc. Lakshya Sen is now the only shooter left and has secured a place in the men’s singles semi-finals. Meanwhile, in shooting, Manu Bhaker qualified for the women’s 25m pistol final, keeping her hopes of a hat-trick of medals at Paris 2024 alive, but Isha Singh missed out by a place.

In judo, Tulika Mann was eliminated after losing her round of 32 match in the women’s +75 kg category. In archery, the results were mixed for India as they defeated Indonesia in the mixed team 1/8 elimination round, followed by Spain in the quarter-finals. But then they lost to South Korea in the semi-finals and then to the USA in the bronze medal match. Meanwhile, in men’s hockey, India returned to winning ways, defeating Australia 3-2 in their final pool match.
They will face Great Britain in the quarter-finals on Sunday. In athletics, there was huge disappointment as Parul Choudhary and Ankita failed in the women’s 5000m heats. Meanwhile, Tajinderpal Singh Toor also failed to qualify for the men’s shot put final.

Day 8 is expected to be exciting for India as it will start with shooting. Raiza Dhillon and Maheshwari Chauhan will compete in the women’s skeet qualification, followed by Bhaker in the women’s 25m pistol final. In archery, Deepika Kumari will try to make a comeback when she faces Germany’s Michelle Kroppen in the women’s individual 1/8 elimination round. Meanwhile, there will also be sailing as Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan will take part in their respective dinghy races. In boxing, Nishant Dev will take on Mexico’s Marco Verde in the men’s welterweight quarterfinals. India’s medal tally currently stands at three, of which Bhakar has got two bronzes. Meanwhile, Swapnil Kusale has also won a bronze medal in shooting.
