According to police sources, when the girl put pressure on the accused for marriage, he started retracting. On October 20, the accused prepared the girl to observe Karva Chauth fast. In the name of breaking the fast, he took the girl for a ride in a rented car with his two friends Pankaj and Hrithik. The accused murdered the girl on the way. After this everyone reached Rohtak to dispose of the dead body. the accused buried the body by digging a pit about four to five feet deep in the forest of Madina village located in the police station Bahu Akbarpur area.
At the same time, the police say that on October 20, a case was registered on the statement of the girl’s brother. the girl’s brother had expressed suspicion on the accused Sanju. When Delhi Police started investigation, they found evidence of Sanju talking to the girl on mobile most of the time.
Sanju had also made the last call on the girl’s mobile. On suspicion, police detained Sanju and interrogated him and he confessed to the crime. After that, on his information, Delhi Police contacted Bahu Akbarpur police station and recovered the body from the forest.
