Bengaluru Murder Live Update 2024: The man suspected of murdering a woman, whose body was found along with her housemate’s boyfriend in college, was found dead in Odisha. A suicide note was found near the body of Liberation Roy, who had escaped from Chakma Bakery College a few days earlier.
The note found near his body reportedly refers to a controversial argument between Mukti Ranjan and Mahalakshmi at Vyalikaval, their residence. When Liberation allegedly attacked Mahalakshmi’s head, the demon Tab increased, leading to her death. The note further describes the warm relationship between the two.
Ranjan’s body was found in Bhadrak district of Odisha. According to the police, she was found hanging and a case of suicide was registered at Dushuri police station. Several personal items including his bag, laptop and mobile phone were recovered from the officers.
Mahalaxmi, who worked in a mall in Bengaluru, had bungalows at the store, where Ranjan was employed as a manager. His call records revealed that he was in constant conversation with Ranjan, which raised suspicion among the investigators. Mahalakshmi’s murder threw the city into shock, especially due to the gruesome nature of the crime.
No weapon of any kind was recovered in the murder. Investigators from Bengaluru‘s Vyalikaval police station are now working closely with authorities in Odisha to continue the investigation, especially in light of new evidence found at the suicide site.
