T20 World Cup 2024 Team Announcement Live: India cricket team’s T20 World Cup squad will see only 15 getting picked. It means that some big star may miss out. Several reports have claimed that the main race is between Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the top-order and between Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh in the middle order. A PTI report claimed that if both Shubman Gill and Jaiswal get piked, one from Dube and Rinku may miss out. Also, if both Rinku and Dube get selected, one from Dube and Jaiswal will be snubbed.

Chennai Super Kings star batter Shivam Dube is in red-hot form in the ongoing IPL. In eight matches, he has scored 311 runs, at a strike rate of 169.95. His tally also includes three half-centuries. It will be really interesting to see whether he gets a spot in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. The selectors have to make a tough choice for the middle-order batter between Dube and star batter Rinku Singh.

According to a report of Dainik Jagran, India skipper Rohit Sharma is likely to attend a meeting with BCCI selection committee chairman, Ajit Agarkar and other office bearers to discuss India’s 15-member squad. The meeting is likely to be held on Saturday in Delhi, where Rohit Sharma will be playing for Mumbai Indians against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 match.
