New Delhi:
JP Nadda, the leader of the BJP, wrote a letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge two days after the latter’s letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi pointing out the offensive language used by Congressmen against Prime Minister Gandhi in the past. In a jab at Mr. Gandhi, Mr. Nadda wrote that the Congress had once more attempted to refine and reintroduce a “failed product” that the public has repeatedly rejected.
Wasn’t it Sonia Gandhi, the mother of Rahul Gandhi, who called Modiji the “merchant of death” (maut ka saudagar)? Such blatant remarks were celebrated by you and your party. Mr. Nadda, the Union Health Minister, questioned, “Had the Congress forgotten political decorum at that point?”\
Mr. Nadda said that under Mr. Gandhi’s influence, the nation’s oldest party had absorbed his vices and turned into a “copy & paste” organization.
He wrote that the Prime Minister was referred to the Congress leaders as a “snake,” “scorpion,” “demon,” “pickpocket,” and “coward.” Mr. Nadda said, “Even his parents were insulted.
The leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Mr. Gandhi, was accused by the president of the BJP of using caste and reservation politics to incite people against one another. “Then he goes abroad and talks about ending reservation and snatching away rights of people from Dalit, backward classes and tribal communities,” he stated.
Speaking to an audience at a US university, Mr. Gandhi stated that the Congress would consider eliminating reservations only if “India is a fair place,” which is not the situation at the moment. The BJP quickly capitalized on the statement, claiming that the Congressman’s bias against reservations is evident.
What Mallikarjun Kharge Sent To The Prime Minister.
The Congress president had previously mentioned a “series of objectionable, violent, and indecent” insults made against Rahul Gandhi in a letter to the Prime Minister.
Mr. Kharge listed the verbal abuse directed at Mr. Gandhi, including remarks made by Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, calling Mr. Gandhi the “Number 1 terrorist,” a leader of the Shiv Sena threatening to pay ₹ 11 lakh to “anyone who cuts” Mr. Gandhi’s tongue, and Delhi BJP leader Tarwinder Singh Marwah threatening to do the same to Mr. Gandhi as his grandmother, the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
“The world recognizes Indian culture for its nonviolence and kindness… These principles were central to our politics in the British era thanks to Gandhiji. There has been a lengthy history of civil conflict between the ruling party and the opposition since independence,”
He went on to say that the verbal abuse of Rahul Gandhi by BJP leaders is causing concern for crores of Congress workers. “The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi had to give their lives as a result of these forces propagating hatred. The most egregious instance of political behavior in democratic history is the actions of the ruling party.
Mr. Kharge asked the Prime Minister to make BJP leaders adhere to decency and decorum. “Such comments should be strictly prosecuted in order to prevent the collapse of Indian democracy.
On Wednesday, the Election Commission requested that the Congress and the BJP stop their campaigning.
along caste, community, linguistic, and religious lines, arguing that elections cannot cause the sociocultural environment of India to collapse. Additionally, it requested that the BJP refrain from making divisive campaign statements.

Additionally, it requested that the Congress make sure that none of its prominent campaigns or candidates make any deceptive statements implying that the Constitution might be sold or abolished.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, meanwhile, referred to the Congress and Samajwadi Party as “sympathizers of Pakistan” on Wednesday and claimed that Pakistan’s nuclear status is “scaring the country” for these parties.
